“Probably when my son was born, when I gave birth to my son in North Shore Hospital. After a very long labour, I managed to get him out, and the moment when he was placed on my chest, and I was able to see him, for the first time.
Love is warm. It’s a smile. It’s, it’s a connection that you have with, with that other person. You can see it in their eyes, and expression. It’s a very warm and wholesome feeling.
Motherhood is hard. It’s very hard. It’s rewarding, however, yeah you don’t get told a lot about a lot of stuff that happens during pregnancy and childbirth, and just raising a child in general, it’s tough work, but it’s very rewarding.
I’m lucky enough to have the support of my sister and my dad, but it’s been hard for me, so I can imagine it would be pretty tough for those people who are going through, through what I’m going through on their own. So, you just have to be grateful for the support that you’ve got, and just always see the positive in things, I guess.
The dad just isn’t, doesn’t look after him. I, I don’t believe that the environment, there where he’s living, the father is living is healthy for Leo at the moment. So, I didn’t, I don’t have, we don’t have much to do with him.”
