Okay, so my personal opinion on regret is that I don’t have any regrets.

I mean there’s a lot of things that I didn’t do as good as I could have, or there’s a lot of mistakes that I made. There are a lot of failures that I had, along my journey to where I’ve gotten to now. However, I will never regret any of those things, because I’m able to see that if it weren’t for all those, you know mistakes, failures, challenges, obstacles, wrong paths that I went down, I wouldn’t have got to where I am today. I can see the value in all of those things that I’ve been through in the past. So, my motto is really, no regrets.

I grew up in West Auckland. So, this is actually my stomping ground. I grew up in an area called Glen Eden. When I grew up, I grew up with my mother. My father left me when I was quite young, so we didn’t have a lot of money or anything, and basically, I got into a – I went down the wrong path.

That’s what I was talking about before when it comes to regret. I went down the wrong path when I was in high school, ended up dropping out of school, got into heaps of drugs, and alcohol, and didn’t have a job or anything and for about a year when I was 17, I ran away from home, and just kind of went down the wrong path, hanging around with the wrong people. Basically after a year of living this pretty dangerous lifestyle, I kind of realised that I had to kind of get my stuff together, get my life together, and I decided to invest a lot of my time into personal development and working on myself, and long story short, that was about seven years ago now, that was when I was 19, over the last six or seven years, I’ve kind of just been on this journey of personal development, and self-discovery.

I run a company called Awaken the Alpha, which is a life coaching company, and we have, hundreds of clients from around the world that we work with, online and in person, and we focus really on helping people, transform their mindsets, transform their bodies, and really kind of take control of their life, and yeah we’ve, over the last few years, become very successful. We help many people. We do seminars and workshops and retreats. We’ve got actually our first retreat coming up in the next four weeks, which is really exciting. All the stuff that I’ve been through in the past, all the adversity, all the challenges, I kind of use it to my own advantage, and now I help people that are going through similar adversities in their life, and that’s kind of what I’m passionate about now.

I guess my values are really just, helping people kind of tap into their ultimate potential. You know? Help people work through and let go of all of the trauma and all of the challenges that they’ve had to go through in their life and just help people come the best versions of themselves, while I do the same in my life.

That is my current perspective now. When I was going through my earlier phases of my journey, especially when I was making a lot of mistakes, going down a lot of the more negative paths, there was actually a lot of regret. Can’t take it back now. There’s a lot of regret that I had back then, and it was really regret about a lot of the decisions that I made and the choices. A lot of the choices that I had made, and I guess now, looking at it, as I’ve been through that journey. I’ve grown my emotional intelligence, and become more self-aware about where my behaviours come from, where my habits come from, why I feel certain things, why I do certain things, why I act in certain ways, why I react in certain ways, as I started to become more aware of those things, I started to appreciate the challenges a lot more. So, it was through my personal growth that I was able to have that perspective of no regrets, because through becoming aware of all those things, and becoming conscious of all of all of those things, I was able to let them go, only through becoming aware of them, and then that’s where I kind of gained this perspective, I guess.”
