“I have a husband. I’ve been married for five years already. I have three kids, and my husband always teaches me the meaning of life, the meaning of love. That he’s the way that shaped me of who I am, now.
I learn from him, he’s always giving to the less fortunate, even though he doesn’t even have much. You don’t really lose if you give. You gain happiness by doing that.
My husband, he works at a blow moulding plastic factory, and he provides for us. We are a Muslim family. A Muslim is a person that submits to God, and we do charity. We do fasting for one month every year. We pray five times a day. We have to be kind to our neighbours, even though we have different beliefs.
I was born in Indonesia in 1991. I came to New Zealand May 2008. I went to school in Mt Roskill Grammar, one year, and not long after that I got married. My mother is still in Indonesia. I didn’t see my mother for 11 years, until I went to Indonesia last December. I was just staying at home, mother. Just taking the kids to school, cooking, just a stay at home mother. It can be quite boring actually but I’m enjoying it.”
