Jack | Mt Albert
“My name’s Jack, and I live in Mt Albert. I work late, so that keeps me up at night! I work in a bar, as a waiter. I’m also at uni, so I have a few assignments due in a couple of weeks, and that’s pretty stressful right now.
I’m studying digital media, possibly going onto graphic design next year, but I’m mostly just studying digital media, to see if there is something in there that I want to continue with because I’ve been struggling with answering that question for a long time.
I grew up mostly in Auckland, and in the Philippines for a bit, and I think the thing I value most in life is just good relationships with other people. That’s how I would gauge success. I think travel’s wildly important, just to help you to be able to empathise with other people, different backgrounds and just to be a bit more open-minded about the world around you.
I think Auckland’s a cool place to be. It’s not too big, so it’s quite easy to get around, easy to find things to do, you don’t have to go very far. I guess I just try to take every day as it comes and try not to think too much about what’s going to happen in the future, because it could change at any point, so you may as well just keep living life as it comes.”
