“My name is Guri, and I live in Papatoetoe. I’m just more concerned about the jobs because I feel there are less job opportunities for the freshers in the industry.
So I did my studies in IT with specialisation in system administration and I wish to get a good job in a good IT firm, but nowadays it’s quite hard to get into the industry without getting experience. So that’s the main goal for me, right now.
I feel that most of the companies here want someone with experience. And in those first five years, they won’t get any job. They won’t get a chance to gain any experience. So, they should provide opportunities for the first years as well, so that they can excel, because we all wish to learn, but we want someone to support us through the journey.
I’m from India. I have been here in Auckland for the last few years, and I don’t know how to put them in words. Actually, I’m just scared of cameras. Very sorry about that. Basically, I have got my family in India, and they are really important to me, and I do love animals.”
