I’ve been planning a trip, I decided that I’m going to go for it, even though financially I’m not really too prepared.

I just thought life’s too short to waste and I decided I’d do it, so yesterday I booked the tickets, and I’m going to India. Well, I’ve wanted to go there for a long time. I’ve decided I want to go to the Golden Temple, for a few years now, I just want to see these places, that you know, I’ve seen in pictures.

I’ve got a friend over there, so I’ve got somewhere to stay, and it’s just a new opportunity for me to do that. So, I’m really looking forward to it, and might be a bit of romance there. I’m not sure, but I’m going to go and find out for sure, because you’ve got to take, you know, take chances sometimes in life. So, yes that’s why. It’s quite personal, but nah, it’s just an online thing. I’m really curious to see him in person, and I just really want to know what he’s all about. So, yeah I just hope it’s going to turn out right.

I was working at the time, and I had the money there but I just, you know, was trying to keep everything afloat, and now I’m not working. The thing is, I just thought if I get a job now, I’m just going to not be able to go and do that, so I just thought, nah I’m just going to go for it. So, I did.

It was a financial thing, so when I get back I just hope I get a job, but sometimes you’ve just got to do it, because I think if I keep putting it off, I’m never going to do it. I’ve just got to jump for it, and just do it.

I was born in 1971, I was born in Greenlane, and grew up in Mt Albert in a state house. My mum’s Samoan and my dad’s Australian. It wasn’t always easy, and I used to think that was a mixed family back then, but you know, it’s a lot more mixed in Auckland now, isn’t it?

I love my independence. That’s what I love. So, yeah and I like financial freedom. I just love nature, as well. I like to, you know, like go walking in the bush, or go, I love the beach. I love those things. Those are really important to me, and I have a daughter. She’s 18, and she’s really, really important to me, as well. She’s my, one of my biggest, proudest moment is her.”

What, if anything, have you done differently after visiting this site?
