Tulele | Manukau

“Tulele and Manukau I call home, in Auckland. I love Auckland. It’s too cool. Give out generosity or kindness? Probably from this café. Yeah this café is pretty cool. Friendship. It’s a lot of people that comes here.

Some people, they pay it forward. It’s pretty cool. You pay for someone’s meal, or even if you have no money, you come here, and people come here, and they put it on credit and they come back the next day and pay it. Pretty cool café. Pretty cool building, as well. So I think this is one of the coolest places in Manukau, that I know of.

I grew up back home in Samoa, and came here to New Zealand for studies and work. What do I value in life? I think relationships. I think that’s pretty cool. Relationships with people. Just keeping them. Of course, they’re going to go up and down, but keeping them on the good buzz, and good level is cool. Relationships and people. I think that really matters in the end. First of all I’m a son. I’m a brother to someone, or to my siblings. A friend to someone, and to some people. A few friends. Not that many friends. Work colleagues. Sporting teammates. Just relationships in general, and people, and keeping them being honest and keeping them in a good environment. Look after each other as well.

I think it’s super important because you know, people work so hard to, to get money, to get cars, to get houses or whatever. They want to go as far as they want to go in life. I think it’s more important, to be nice. It’s good to be important, it’s nice to be important, but it’s important to be nice, as well. Because at the end of the day, we’re all going to finish anyway, so people will remember generosity more than how much money and cars and houses you own, I guess. That’s why I think generosity is pretty cool.”
