“Compassion and gratitude and kindness. Probably to my mother today by bringing her down to buy some food, because they live by themselves. So we’ve come up to help them out, and I’ve noticed down on the Kāpiti Coast, everyone’s really friendly at the moment.
They’re leaving out fruit and all sorts of things at their letterbox, which they don’t normally do. So, there’s definitely been a shift which is good. I’m hoping they’ve learned not to be so selfish, and to possibly raise their vibrations, and be a bit more joyous, and kind to other people, instead of fear of missing out and materialism and competition. It’s really important to be kind, because then we can all be kind to each other and give instead of taking all the time. So, hopefully it gets contagious in a positive way.
They have good days and bad days, yeah. I’ve only just seen her again after two months. I think some people like being at home in a bubble and for some people it’s not good for them, because they’re addicted to busyness, and getting out for coffee.
I’ve just enjoyed the whole lockdown time, because I’ve got to be at home and meditate and write, and be in nature. So, it’s been wonderful.
What do I value? Nature, my family, living in quiet and peace, and when people are kind to animals.
I grew up in Levin which is a little town near Wellington, but I’ve lived up here for 30 years, but we’ve moved out of the city.”
