Lucy | Sandringham

“I live in Sandringham, Eden Park. My English name is Lucy. I’m quite lucky. I got lots of help from my family, my friends, and ah, so many things.

I come from China, and I just graduated from university, but I want a meaningful life, but actually I don’t have any skills, but I still want to do some meaningful things. 

Actually in China, university is quite a normal thing, so you have to finish it. So, yeah of course, my parents, they helped me to finance, and I think maybe my classmates, they helped me a lot. Like, knowledge helps, and they tell me the way what they are thinking about, about some simple, normal life things.

I love freedom, so it’s quite okay for me being away from home, I don’t feel loneliness but sometimes the culture is different, and language is different, but we’re all human, so lots of people be nice to me, and I love to, to feel the different culture. So, sometimes loneliness, but it’s fine, it’s good.

My friends, they gave me books and I read books, and I’m lucky I have two sisters, so I can talk with them every time, when I want, or when they need me, and there are some sadness or suffering, and we just talk about it and it’s like a joke, and then it’s finished. Not finished, but keep going.”
