“I think I would say getting into uni, that was definitely a silver lining, because I got grades that were really quite hard to work with. I had some troubles at school, and I left school with grades that meant I couldn’t get into uni.
So I had to go in through a different system in the UK. We have something called clearing. So I went in through clearing, and got into a uni that wasn’t one of my choices, and actually met my best friends for life, and had an amazing time. So, that was definitely a silver lining.
I learnt that not everybody goes to plan, and even when it doesn’t feel like it’s the right thing, sometimes you just have to trust that it’ll all work out one way or another.
I grew up in London, and I was born in South Africa. I’m currently here travelling, at the moment. It’s a bit of a hard time to be travelling, but we’ve been saving up for a long time, and we’re trying to work with the current climate to make it all safe and healthy.”
