“I lived in Sao Paulo. I was born there and I speak Portuguese. I studied in school in a little city. Now it’s big city, Sao Paulo.
I never thought in my imagination I would get to travel New Zealand, because I was poor. I didn’t have money for this, but I worked, I studied, and I improved my life. Now I stay here in New Zealand working.
In New Zealand, I study English. I need to improve my English. Now I am at work and I am working on the yachts. Never in my imagination did I think I could work there and paint. I improve this profession here. Here it’s totally different to my country. It is sacred here, and it’s safe. In my country it’s not safe.
The most important thing for me is the politics here. Politics here is good. In my culture it’s bad. It’s bad, but my culture is here now. My country has the beach, beautiful beaches. I have a beautiful place, but the people need to change their minds, because it’s bad. I love New Zealand. I want start my life here. I want to bring my family here, but I need to improve more.
I think of my family all of the time. I miss a lot of my family. That’s the most difficult thing for me. I have a large place here, and I have a lot of jobs here. I have many things, but I miss my family. I need my family, they’re my life; my mama and my brother. My brother helps me there a lot. I will be your birthday now which is in the next few weeks, happy birthday to you. I love you a lot my son. My mama, I kiss you.”
