“I grew up mainly in Mt Eden, but also travelled around the world with our family when I was younger.
We had a baby. That was a pretty good challenge. Well it’s kind of exciting, kind of scary, makes you think a lot about things and the world, and how you relate to it. There’s always the little things you don’t expect happening. It wasn’t quite to our plan, but it all worked out well. Yeah, it’s definitely an experience to go through.
We started obviously at the beginning of the process and we’re still working through things. I guess you just need to be flexible, and change with how things do. I don’t think you can ever really comprehend the change, even when people tell you this and that. It’s not the same as experiencing and living it. I think we’re pretty lucky. We’ve got an awesome baby. He’s sleeping well and putting on weight well, and being very healthy and happy, and doing all the things you should, so that’s pretty awesome.
I’m a photographer. It gives me a freedom to create things and be creative, but I get a living without having to have a nine to five job. Sometimes I do long hours. Sometimes I don’t have to work much, so it’s a good balance.”
