Clint | Point Chevalier
“Hello, my name is Clint and I live in Pt Chev. I’m a local from around here. Been here about two years, and I love it in Pt Chev.
Why do I give to the homeless? People have given to me. I was given a motorbike not so long ago, for my 40th birthday, which I was really happy about, and yeah, I just really like Pt Chev. Really good people around here.
Yeah, I think it’s really important. Some people are really struggling and some people could even be suicidal and stuff. With a bit of help, we could pick people up, you know?
I’m originally from Rotorua. Been in Auckland for about 20 years. Lived all over Auckland. I usually do fencing as a job. I like art. I like music. I’ll have an occasional beer now and again.
Well, I myself, was homeless, but I’ve just been housed by Housing New Zealand and it is a struggle on the streets. It’s very good of people when they help you. I like to give back, these days. I help anyone I see on the street. I invite them back for a coffee, or give them a meal if I can. I try and make sure they’re warm. But yeah I think Pt Chev’s the best, man.”
