“Actually, I think it was yesterday when I was working, and I talked with my customer. Because my work is you know, a sushi shop, so basically I will talk towards people every day.
I, I don’t know them before, yeah. I’m not that kind of person who is so talkative. So, I rarely connect with the strangers, I guess.
Yeah, I think that’s really important (to connect). Actually, I like to talk with people, because I can feel a sense of belonging if I talk with them, because you know, usually people always stay alone, you will feel really lonely. Yeah, so I think connecting with people is very important, but actually, I want to connect with people, but sometimes I just don’t feel, maybe a little bit shy, and lazy. My personality is a little bit inward I think. So, it’s really difficult for me to connect with people, but I think now I’m getting better now.
I’m from China, and I’m from a small village. My parents, they are both farmers. They are really hard working, yeah.
2017 August, first I came here on holiday, working holiday visa. Yeah, and I stay in Auckland for the last one year and a half.”
