“The last time I had fun was probably last night; I was baking a banana cake.
That’s pretty much, the last time I had the most, it was quite enjoyable. I used bananas because we had some old bananas, and they’re the best kind of bananas to really use for banana cake. Otherwise, it’s not going to taste good. It’s for family and friends, really; just for sharing around. I never really bake stuff for myself, because I don’t actually like sweets that much, but I know that my friends and family really love them. So when I do get around to it, it’s a lot of fun, because of the aspect that I do get to give it to people I care about.
I’m from Fiji as, so kind of half-half. I was born in Fiji, and I moved here when I was about two and a half, when my mum got married. So basically grown up here my whole life, but I’ve spent a lot of time here and a lot of time there [Fiji]. Culturally it’s something that’s really important in my life, and understanding of the cultures, because I feel like that’s something that’s really important.
I think it’s really important to have fun. I think that if you’re not enjoying what you’re doing, or how you’re living life, then there kind of isn’t too much point to it, and that doesn’t mean that everything is going to be fun. There are going to be some things that are really hard and really frustrating, but I feel like fun are like those moments in life where you’re just completely relaxed and enjoying things at the best possible way you can.”
