“To finish all of my tertiary study. I grew up in Stanmore Bay, on the Coast, and education is probably the most important thing to me. I’ve studied since I left school, and I work for Unitec. I’ve done a certificate program in the arts, and I’ve done almost all of a marine science degree. Something new and exciting in both the arts and sciences. Not 100 per cent sure yet.
In the future, I hope to be able to combine my art and my science studies into a career. My piercings are something I’ve always been interested in, and I got most of them when I was 16, and I’ve kept them all these years. I guess I see it as another form of art, same as my tattooing. So, piercings and tattoo is a form of expression and personal body art. When I was growing up my grandfather was my biggest influence, and I saw him as a very well educated and knowledgably man, and I always wanted to strive towards that as well. I’m fond of knowledge and learning.”
