“Last time I played with a child was probably last Friday. It was with my daughter. We just went to a park.
At that time it’s just the two of us; it’s important and it’s not important. It’s like there are pros and cons to it. Mingling and socialising is quite important. For me, it just so happened that it’s just the two of us at that time, but I would love her to be mingling with other kids as well in the playground.
Parenting is definitely challenging. So, there’s a lot of things happening. Every day is different. So there are times where you can cope with it, and there are times where like, oh God what did I do? But, all I know, is it’s such a blessing, to be honest.
I would probably advise to young parents like me, because these days it’s very busy working, to give at least some time to your kids, and listen. It works well with us if we see our kids, because they catch our attention so much. So if you can get rid of Facebook, give some time to them, especially when they’re home, that’s probably that’s the best advice I could give at this stage. Currently we’re just three of us, and one to come. So, it’s just a small family at this stage, but it’s manageable.”
