“Well, my name is Sydney and I live here in Randwick Park, Manurewa. One of the best places here in Auckland.
It’s probably one of the homeless people or persons that live around here in Manurewa, and I would like to share a meal with him, or her, and just talk about the world, positive things, and how I can help him or her to get a job, or get a house, or just to move on with life.
Currently, I am a volunteer for Auckland City Mission, and I’ve seen how hard it is, and the challenge for all these people to find a house, or a home, or even look for food. Even just in general, any assistance from anyone, they beg and I just felt sorry for them, and I’ve seen them a lot, here in Manurewa, Manukau, even in Auckland itself.
Actually, I’m from Niue. I’ve just been here in Manurewa, Auckland for the last 10 years. Currently at the moment, I’m doing part-time studies, looking for work, and actually I care a lot about people, and life itself here in Auckland, especially here in South Auckland, or Manurewa. I think Manurewa is not as bad as it made out to be, and I think it’s just one of the safest places here in Auckland, and I’ve really enjoyed living here in Manurewa, and I hope to be around or live in Manurewa for a little bit longer.”
