By telling them I love them, I appreciate them, and whatever they do in life, I will always support them.

Always my younger cousin, because she was going through some things. I feel it’s definitely important to make people feel special, and you know, tell them we do love them, we do appreciate them, and we want them around, we want them to stay here.

So, I’ve always grown up here in South Auckland, Papakura. This is where I come from. I love this place. There’s so much here to offer. The things I value in life that are important to me, is family, my culture. Yeah, because I am Māori, and I feel like my culture is my stepping stone to the path that I want to take. The path that I want to take is in the creative industry, helping young people achieve their goals within the creative industry, help young people get jobs within the creative industry, and just make people aware that we are here, and we can offer our services to help you in whatever you need.

Currently I work at The Corner Creative Space on O’Shannessey Street, Papakura and we are all about providing young people job opportunities within the creative sector of South Auckland. We also provide a space for people to come use, and to call their, to call our space a home.”
