“The last time I made my mum, I made my mum feel special, in Samoa, back in Samoa. It was on Mother’s Day. Yeah, I just made her breakfast, and I gave her a little Bible verse. Yeah, and that made her, she felt special. She was so happy.
I think it’s yeah, because if you make them feel special, then they will continue on to doing what, whatever they’re working on, their work and their jobs. You just do something special, even if it’s a little thing that you do for them, that will make them, that will make their day and make them feel happy.
Oh yeah, it was on my 16th birthday, and my best friend was the only one who remembered my birthday, out of my whole, my whole family and everyone. It was just my best friend. So, yeah she came with presents. It was only her, and when I went home, none of my family knew it was my birthday, and I was so grateful for my best friend. Yeah, that was the only day someone made me feel special.
What I love about my family is that everyone just cares about each other, and we don’t leave one person out, or we just all work together when something happens, and when someone feels down about themselves, we just all help each other to make them feel comfortable. When someone who’s new to the family, we just make them feel welcome, and we just kind of have that respect in our family for each other and for other people as well.
My dream has always been, I’ve always wanted to be, to become a teacher or a social worker after, when I finish school. I’m going to go study in Uni.
I grew up in Samoa, and I came into New Zealand 2016. So, I moved here for a better education and for a better future for myself and for my family. Yeah, that’s about it.”
