“I’m currently very involved in the Comedy Festival.
I last showed my wife that I cared about her by completely rearranging my day so I could take her down for an eye clinic appointment at the hospital this morning and then pick her up and take care of her until she was fit to drive again, which is only a little thing, but that is the last thing I did. That was today.
I’m a 59 year old, ex-computer programmer, currently trying to reposition myself as a stand-up comedian, and I’m currently the only active male to female transgender stand-up comedian in New Zealand. Discussing with some friends of mine who are comedians, we’ve decided that a really good title for my next year’s comedy show, from the festival if I can get in would be um, I Only Live this shit – I Don’t Understand it.”
