“I recently just shared butter chicken with one of my close friends. It’s our go-to food. It’s both our favourite food. So yeah, we decided let’s share butter chicken.
I’m just studying to get Level 3 and then to go and get Level 3 in the Army as well. My dad inspired me to join the army. He was in there for 53 years. So I decided to follow his footsteps and join it. It interests me, because I like to give back, in helping people. I love to help people who need help.
So, maybe going overseas to help people that need it; it would satisfy me and make me feel good about myself. Studying full time and training for the Army, you don’t really have time to do proper meals for yourself, you have to get simple and good food. I just want to represent where I’m from, and do what my dad did, to make my family proud, but not only that; also New Zealand.
You’ve got to set yourself goals. If you want to get somewhere in life, there’s really no reason to just sit around; you’ve got to set high goals, so they only way you can achieve them is by failing and then getting back up. If you just want to sit around, nothing’s going to happen. It is important to help other people not just in our own country, because once upon a time other countries were helping us when we were in need of help. So yeah, I do think it’s important that we do help other countries.”
