“Last time I had fun; oh probably about a week ago. We were in Thailand. We were scuba-diving, it’s a big passion of mine.
I was there working as a dive master in Khao Lak in Thailand, diving on the Similan Islands. So, that was about a week ago, last time I really had fun, at least the biggest fun. I’ve had a lot of fun here in Auckland the last week, but that was the last time I’d say really had a real good time.
I grew up in San Francisco, California. The things that are important to me; family, is very important to me, having a good time is very important, but also you know, spending time with friends. I do a lot of travelling and that’s important to me as well. I like getting to know other cultures, and other people. I love meeting people from all over the world. I’m a very open-minded person, so just getting to know as many people as possible is important to me as well.
I love being outdoors and being out in nature and experiencing all that. That’s another thing I’m passionate about, is the outdoors and nature; just trying to keep it as beautiful and as clean as possible, but any time outside, especially in the ocean, having a good time, whether it’s at the beach or in the waves, or scuba-diving, or whatever. As long as I’m in the water I’m happy. The water is definitely where I’m at peace, and so that’s one of my philosophies; I love doing whatever I can to help keep it the way it is. There’s been so many problems with going out in nature right now, that I think we need to do the best we can to preserve it.
Right now I’m doing a working holiday here in New Zealand, [I] just came to Auckland. It was a good place to start out. My girlfriend and I are travelling. She’s actually from a different country than I’m from, so we’re looking for places where we can both be working and living at the same time, which is one of the reasons we came to New Zealand; do a little bit of working here, and travelling. We actually met while we were travelling in Australia so we want to keep the travelling going, and just be able to work and live in the same place at the same time.”
