Sharon | Manurewa, Auckland
“I’ve left the country. I travel around a bit, I think it would be most of all travelling. For me, I like to be an explorer. I like to be out there, not be inside all the time, and that’s influenced by a lot of things. For me, I like to give things a go.
I used to live in Australia. I had moved there for a while and I just decided to come back to visit my family, and friends. I love to travel a lot, and eat food.
I grew up in Auckland. I’ve been living here for 16 years. I’m from up north, which is Mangamuka. Some of you most probably have not heard of it, but I was born and raised up there, but I moved. I’ve been living in New Zealand for all my life.
There’s some people out there that are struggling and they need help with their identity as well, and there’s some companies here that are always here to help with that. It’s very important to know your identity, because you can get lost, and sometimes if you don’t know who you are and where you’re from, that can be a struggle for some people. Like, for myself, I’m still trying to find myself, I’m still trying to find my identity about who I am.
If my father wishes to take me up there, I would love to go. Up north is home, and it’s very different to being in the city. It’s like farming, agriculture and that. You just explore when you’re up there. But be careful. There are some deep holes there you don’t want to travel down.”
