“Yesterday, we went to church, then we went shopping.
Sorry, before that we had a cup of coffee at the new mall in Silverdale, and made lots of comments about whatever we thought. Then we went home. Sorry no, we went shopping at Pak’nSave. Then we of course went home. My wife went to a cake icing gathering, and I worked on the house, because I’m building some steps. That was fun, and then we fed our nephew’s cat, because they’re on holiday. So, well it wasn’t just a dull and boring day. We had a good day filled with lots of things.
The only real challenging time in my life is when well I got separated from my wife, and I lost my job, that was a bit challenging. I had to re-invent myself and what I thought was going along well, turned to custard, so that was pretty depressing, but I bounced back. Generally speaking after that, it was okay, because I bought an apartment in Gulf Harbour and got on with life. I met all sorts of people, and started to live again, even though I didn’t have a job or a wife, but that was alright.
Oh no, no, no. You can’t, oh well I find, or I have found that you can’t live your life by being unhappy or depressed or whatever. That’s not what we have been put here for, and if you can’t find something to have fun with, or people to have fun with, life is pretty dull, actually. So you’ve got to put something, or put fun, it’s hard to be positive, even without fun. So you’ve got to do things that are, well sometimes not quite described as fun, but going out and doing things.”
