“What I would say about New Zealand is it’s a beautiful country and I hope New Zealanders would realise how beautiful and the type of things they do have, and they can gain from New Zealand.
If I would want to change something in New Zealand it wouldn’t be too much. Perhaps the crimes rates in New Zealand, parents not taking good care of their kids, and maybe teenagers getting pregnant early. Sometimes it leads to so many things, so I would change that. It’s not really like change as in a constitution, but the parents should have more care for their kids, and make New Zealand a better place, because honestly, New Zealand is one of the best countries you’d ever be in. So reducing the risk of kids not knowing what to do, and being unlawful citizens of their country, not being good kids of their country. It’s one of the problems in New Zealand, and I think parents should also sit down and take good care of their kids so that they become wonderful citizens of their country.
Honestly, I’ve not been in New Zealand too long, so I can’t say much, but what I would say is I think that Government should see to those certain things that really needs to be fixed as in taking good care of their teenagers of this community and other places would be a better thing for New Zealand to work on. New Zealand is, I will say again, it’s one of the best countries you’d ever be in.
I grew up in Ghana, the West of Africa, a beautiful country. I came to New Zealand around 2013, and I’ve lived in New Zealand from 2013 to this year, which is a wonderful thing.
Because honestly one thing in New Zealand is the opportunity young people have. Having the opportunity from the Government [by] giving them the chance of have students loans for their studies is one of the best things you could ever get. In some other countries you do not get that, and I think with this opportunity they should take advantage of it, and improve their careers and make New Zealand a useful place. So many countries do not get that opportunity to go to school with loans and stuff, which some African countries and some kids in Africa would really want to, but because of conditions and situations in Africa, some kids do not have the opportunity. So I think if New Zealand kids do have such an opportunity they should make good use of it and then come out with something great because education is the best.
I would say as well; if you educate a woman, you educate the whole nation, but if you educate a man, you educate one person. So as the teenagers, as the young people of New Zealand, they should take this opportunity as females and make good improvements of their lives, and see themselves as special people of the country. Most of the young people in New Zealand have so many interesting talents, and when they are working to it they can make New Zealand a better place.
In Ghana education is one of the important things you would ever get, and Ghanaians are really strict, especially with the Ghanaian parent. They’re very strict on their kids, on forcing their kids to go to school, but because of the money involved, some parents could not really get their kids wherever they want them to go. Education is one of the best things in Ghana, and most parents always look forward to making their kids well educated kids. That’s why I actually hammer my topic on education, because it’s the best thing you’d ever get for yourself, because you can get into so many places. Educating yourself, it’s the best thing you would ever get in the world, it leads you to your job opportunities and so many opportunities in life, so I think if you educate yourself it will be the first thing ever.”
