Anitelea – Mt Roskill
“My name is Anitelea and, and I live on the street now, in this, this area, and yeah just living life, you know.
This girl I used to go out with, and then after that I just don’t want to be like, loving somebody and be together with them. It’s just waste of time, and then like, you try to love them and they try to love me too, but it’s like hard to figure out. Like, you might just love them, and they don’t love you, and I just got the boy now, like just think of if I left them. Then I left her, because yeah it’s no point for me to stay. I think she was wanted to be thinking like she wants better things or something and she don’t want to get hurt or something, and I think that’s why we’re apart.
I went my way and then I just don’t even have the feeling if I can love them back again – be a waste of time. It’s just me and living, and I have to love myself now, because I can take care of myself without their loving and care, too. Love is like a person, you have to really that you like yourself because there’s always somebody loves something differently, and it’s hard to love someone unless we love ourselves, and just have fun with whatever they want to do, or have fun whatever they like to have fun with.
I was raised by the Island in Samoa, and then I came in New Zealand in 2001, and then I went back on 2007. Then I came back and then I just know that the life here is better, but raised like you waste your things on things that’s not good. It depends if you are going to live by your own self. You know you’re going to be giving any things to any of others of the families and stuff, but you just got to live your own self and then use the money yourself without giving to people in your family need them, or some money. I love this place now, and anywhere around here, because I just don’t want to pay rent and stuff, and just live, like the way I want to live. It’s better and safe to live around like places like this, or none other places, and what I need to do just to be like my way is live like this. Like this; be free.
I don’t really need any helps because I’m a strong man and I can help myself and then there will be places for people when you get sick and stuff, and you can go to when you need help and stuff, or get old. I think it’s just cool. Like, you just do whatever there is around here to do, and use anything around to use the place for all those things that you have to do use around the money. Those stuff I think it’s just the way they want to live and do whatever they like to, and I think that as long as they don’t use it in the wrong stuff like hurting people for itand stuff and then try living, that would be good. But it’s none of anyone’s business when somebody do what they like, you know? I just don’t have any hope for future, just live the normal way. It’s just like, the thing is again in different places and things and stuff you get, but it’s just stuff and just living and just get money and get fed and eat and survive.
Not like, wanting to be like one of those professionals, or those schools stuff. It’s hard to know who will be somewhere and who will be thing that they will get into their life. Some of them want to do courses, get work stuff like offices, and these kinds of ways. It depends on people when people need things, because I don’t need that much to be, or any things to do with kids too because they’ve got their parents and to know what they’re going to be, and yeah.
Some families really bad as their own family, like for me and to my family. Sometimes I think of bad things that happen to families eh?
For some other people they always go back there and do things for the families and stuff, but that’s different people. Different things, different ways. I don’t think anything going to be the same as all the others. I think that this country is all things.”
